Our procurement systems

Western Power uses a number of systems to support supplier interactions throughout the procurement lifecycle. This page explains the purpose of our primary procurement systems, OneAdvanced Opportunity Hub and Ariba, including when you may be required to use them and the activities they support. Whether you are responding to a sourcing opportunity, maintaining supplier information, managing contractual obligations or submitting invoices, the information below will help you identify the appropriate system and access relevant support resources.

OneAdvanced Opportunity Hub – tendering and contract reporting

OneAdvanced Opportunity Hub is used by Western Power to manage Expression of Interest and Tender events. The platform also includes a contract management system that is also used to manage supplier contracts and capture supplier performance information.

To register interest in upcoming events, visit our Tenders and registrations of interest page.

To submit a general expression of interest, use the Supplier Introduction form.

Ariba – accreditation, purchase orders and invoicing

What is Ariba?

Ariba is a purchasing system that Western Power uses to connect with our suppliers. The cloud-based version that suppliers use is known as SAP Business Network enables our suppliers to receive orders, send invoices, and manage their business information through their own accounts.

See ariba.com for more information.

Supplier Accreditation in Ariba

Before we can engage with new suppliers via a purchase order or contract order, we must first gather any information needed for trading. The process we follow to collect and validate these details is known as supplier accreditation.

We use Ariba-based questionnaires to accredit new suppliers, which are sent to their account in the SAP Business Network. Each questionnaire serves a different purpose, e.g. business details to set up your trading profile, any insurance certificates that are relevant to the products and/or services that you provide, and bank details for invoice payment.

Western Power suppliers continue to use their SAP Business Network accounts to manage the business information shared with us. You can use the same account to manage orders and invoices, or nominate another SAP Business Network user in your business to look after these.

Ordering and invoicing

We use Ariba to issue orders and receive invoices via the SAP Business Network. You can log in to see invoice and remittance status in real time.

To transact with us you’ll need, at minimum, a Standard Ariba account. It’s free to set up and use. See Transacting with Western Power for account options.

For help viewing orders or loading invoices, see the Ordering and invoicing in Ariba guide. You can also access Ariba support.

To contact Ariba directly, see Raising an Ariba service call. For Western Power-specific technical support, email us.
