Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, for the provision of Pole top switches.

Three-phase manually operated, pole top mounted, air break switches ("Pole top switches") for isolating power through Western Power's electricity supply networks throughout the State of Western Australia.

Requirements include (but not limited to):

  • Operating system voltages: 22kV and 33kV.
  • System frequency: 50Hz
  • Rated normal current: ≥400A
  • Switches are to be horizontally mounted and vertical operated.
  • All hardware i.e. brackets, threaded rods, nuts, bolts, washers which are required to mount the Switch shall be supplied with the unit and be able to withstand heavy weathering and maintenance free.

The scope of work includes: 

  1. design 
  2. manufacture
  3. testing
  4. packaging
  5. provision of documentation
  6. insurance
  7. delivery to destination
  8. registration requirements
