The Organisation
Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network that connects our 2.3 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources, delivering an essential service to our community.
The Scope
Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, for the provision of:
- Supply of Transmission Station Class Surge Arresters
Transmission Station Class (Tx) Surge Arresters are required to protect plant from being damaged by voltage surges. Western Power requires the supply and delivery of Tx Surge Arresters for use on the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).
The Scope of Work includes:
- Design
- Manufacture
- Testing
- Packaging
- Provision of documentation
- Insurance
- Delivery to Destination
Items must be designed, built and tested in accordance with IEC 60099-4 2014.
- Vendors to offer station class surge arresters with a rated voltage of 24kV to 362kV.
