24kV to 362kV Disconnectors and Earth Switches - P01906
We're seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, for the supply and delivery of 24kV to 362kV Disconnectors and Earth Switches.
Disconnectors and Earth Switches are essential components in high voltage and medium voltage networks, providing safe isolation and earthing during maintenance and switching operations.
Western Power requires the supply and delivery of these assets for deployment across the Southwest Interconnected System (SWIS). The Scope of Work includes:
- a. Design
- b. Manufacture
- c. Testing
- d. Packaging
- e. Provision of documentation
- f. Insurance
- g. Delivery to Destination
All items shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with IEC 62271.
Vendors to offer disconnectors and earth switches with a rated voltages and fault current based on table below:

Vendors shall provide:
- Rocker-type disconnectors rated for 22 kV to 33 kV, suitable for horizontal and vertical mounting configurations; and
- Double-break type disconnectors rated for 33 kV to 330 kV.
Disconnectors shall be capable of both manual and motorised operation.
Western Power will supply the station post insulators and supporting structures for all disconnectors and associated earthing switches.
