We're seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to partner in the delivery of Customer Connection Services across the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).

The intent of this ROI is to identify capable delivery partners with the capacity, systems, and experience to manage customer connection works from allocation through to energisation within a fast paced, customer focused environment.

Scope of services

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Overhead construction services
  • Underground construction services, including directional drilling
  • Cable installation, including jointing, terminations, and connections
  • Civil services such as trenching, excavation, and general construction activities
  • Service location
  • Installation of ground mounted equipment and substation equipment
  • Maintenance and replacement of street lighting across the network
  • Other electrical services, including installation of consumer mains, pillars, conductors, and busbars

Partner capability requirements

Respondents should demonstrate the ability to:

  • Deliver services across the entire SWIS
  • Perform a mix of small point to point works through to large, complex projects
  • Operate within a high volume, fast paced delivery environment
  • Manage projects end to end from work allocation through to energisation
  • Coordinate schedules effectively with Western Power and other stakeholders
  • Manage materials, logistics, and supply requirements

Commercial and operational expectations

Organisations responding to this ROI must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in delivery of the specified Scope of Services
  • Strong customer relationship management capability
  • Robust KPI management, including performance monitoring and achievement
  • Accurate project and performance reporting
  • Detailed, transparent project invoicing
  • The ability to provide capacity status and forward looking forecasts to support coordinated planning and delivery with Western Power
