Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network that connects our 2.3 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources, delivering an essential service to our community.

The Scope

Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, for the provision of Customer Connection Services (CCS), Straight Through Processing (STP)

Western Power is seeking opportunities to modernise the customer connection experience and improve operational efficiency through the adoption of Straight Through Processing (STP) capabilities. Current connection processes are manual, fragmented and heavily reliant on human intervention to validate applications, conduct assessments and issue customer outcomes. This results in extended processing timeframes, increased operational effort and a suboptimal customer experience. With approximately 2,400 residential connection applications processed annually and connection volumes expected to grow, Western Power is exploring solutions that can simplify customer interactions, reduce manual effort and establish a scalable, future ready capability to support ongoing growth.
