We're committed to supporting WA businesses and industry through strong local procurement.

Wherever possible, we prioritise working with WA-based suppliers and contractors to deliver the infrastructure and services that power homes, communities and businesses across the State.

By partnering with local companies, we’re helping ensure investment in the electricity network also supports local jobs, skills and economic growth.

Our commitment to local suppliers

We have a strong track record of working with WA suppliers across engineering, construction, manufacturing and specialist services.

Currently more than 90% of Western Power’s spend is awarded to WA-based businesses, demonstrating our commitment to supporting local industry.

Working with local suppliers strengthens Western Power’s ability to deliver a safe and reliable network while supporting the capability of WA’s energy and infrastructure supply chain.
