Privacy Statement (PTS)
Purpose
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Electricity Networks Corporation trading as Power Training Services W.A. (PTS) (Registration Code #5749 ) operates in accordance with the National Vocational
Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act) and the 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations enabled by the NVETR Act. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our learners, contractors and staff and manage all personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
How personal information is collected and held
PTS collects personal information necessary to confirm your identity and manage your training records. We securely store and protect these details against misuse, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Using and disclosing personal information
PTS will only use or disclose information in circumstances where such use or disclosure would be reasonably anticipated, or where you have expressly provided your consent to PTS.
External organisations
In accordance with the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Data Provision Requirements) Instrument 2020 (Cth) (Data Provision Requirements 2020), PTS is required to submit
data to the National VET Regulator.
This information is provided for statistical analysis (with personally identifying details removed) and to ensure learner records for accredited training are maintained on the Student Identifier database.
Records held on database are accessed and updated via the Unique Student Identifier, and the collection and storage of such data is held and protected under the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth).
Collection and use of website visit data
When you visit the PTS website, our server logs t information for statistical and administration purposes,
including:
- browser type and operating system of your device;
- your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- your top-level domain name (for example, .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
- the address of any referring website
- your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address
This information may be retained for the following purposes:
- to comply with legal or regulatory obligations;
- to support internal research and data analysis;
- to respond to enquiries, complaints, or a request; or
- where data deletion is not technically feasible
Use of Cookies
