We’ve now made available a Customer-led Design & Construct delivery option as part of our standard connection process for Major Customer projects. This option enables eligible customers to manage their own design and construction activities for greenfield portions of required Network infrastructure, while Western Power continues to manage all brownfield works and final Network commissioning.

This approach provides customers with greater control over project delivery, provided all works comply with our technical standards and specifications. Assets designed and constructed by Customers under this option will become part of the Western Power Network, so quality and compliance remain critical.
