Your retail electricity provider handles your billing transition whether you're moving in or moving out. Make sure you get in touch with them well before your intended move so that the lights go out at your old place and your electricity connection is on at the new one.
Making the switchover trouble free:
- At least three days before you move, advise your electricity retailer of your move date
- They will contact Western Power to come and read your meter on their behalf after your move date (and before any new account is assigned to the property)
- Your retailer will send you a final bill for your previous account
- All billing and process queries should be directed to your retailer
If you're moving to a new location, please contact your retailer who will arrange for your new electrical account to be set up.
