Generator hire or purchase contribution program
To maintain the network safely and efficiently, Western Power must schedule planned outages that will interrupt the supply of electricity to customers. To reduce the impact of power interruptions to business customers, Western Power may reimburse certain costs incurred by eligible business applicants for the hire or purchase of a generator to be used during planned supply interruptions. The maximum amount that Western Power will reimburse an eligible applicant is $1,000 (including GST) per planned supply interruption. The program is offered entirely at Western Powers discretion.
Applications for contributions towards generator costs under these terms and conditions will only be considered from ‘business customers’ (i.e. a customer who does not consume electricity for domestic use) who consume not more than 160MWh of electricity per annum.
Notwithstanding the above, contributions towards the cost of hire or purchase of a generator is subject to the following terms and conditions.
This offer is valid for one planned power outage only. Should you receive notice of a future planned outage, please contact us prior to the outage date on 13 10 87 (Mon to Fri 7am - 5pm). We cannot guarantee that participation will be offered in future.
