Applications are now open for the 2026 Western Power Bushfire Volunteers Grants Program, which provides funding to volunteer bushfire brigades across the state to support their important work in local communities.

Funding can be used for practical needs such as firefighting and recovery equipment, first aid supplies, generators, water tanks, training and other resources that are often not covered by other funding programs.

Western Power is proud to support the volunteers who help keep communities safe.

We work closely with volunteer bushfire brigades throughout the year, particularly during bushfire emergencies, and understand that having the right equipment is essential to carry out firefighting activities safely and effectively.

Volunteer bushfire brigades play a critical role in keeping communities safe across Western Australia and we're proud to continue supporting the important work they do through this program.

Western Power works with Bushfire Volunteers to administer the grants program to help ensure funding reaches volunteer brigades and the communities they serve.

The annual grants program provides funding to eligible volunteer bushfire brigades across the South West Interconnected System.

Applications close on Friday 2 October 2026.
