Reconciliation Action Plan

Western Power operates on Noongar, Amangu and Wangkatha land. We recognise the rich history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and celebrate their achievements while acknowledging the past and the challenges they continue to face.

We’re proud to have a long history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, creating important connections to community that help us to truly understand the land on which we operate.

Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan: January 2026 – December 2027

Our first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), ‘Reflect’, was an important milestone and outlined our commitment to develop and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, stakeholders and communities throughout Western Australia.

In June 2022 we released our next Reconciliation Action Plan, ‘Innovate’, which will expand on our Reflect RAP. Through the Innovate RAP, we’ll continue working to deepen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples toward a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

In November 2025, we published our second Innovate RAP, the next step on our reconciliation journey.
