Bushfire volunteers grants
The Western Power Bushfire Volunteers Grants Program invites brigades to apply for funding to purchase essential tools, services or equipment.
The Western Power Bushfire Volunteers Grants Program invites brigades to apply for funding to purchase essential tools, services, and equipment that can’t be accessed through the State Government Emergency Services Levy (ESL), Local Government Grants Scheme (LGGS), or other funding sources.
To apply, brigades—or their Local Government on their behalf—simply need to complete the form below and include a photo or screenshot of a quote for the items they need.
Applications will be assessed based on need, value for money, and potential community impact, ensuring the funds make the greatest difference where they’re needed most.
Previous grants have enabled brigades to purchase items like water tanks and pumps, 4WD recovery tools, a snake handling course, mosquito defence gear, chainsaws, and drink coolers for fire trucks.
While brigades can apply for any items they need without a limit on quantity or value, most successful grants are expected to be under $2,500. We encourage every brigade to apply and make the most of this fantastic opportunity.
This grant program is administered by the Association of volunteer Bushfire Brigade of WA and funded by Western Power.
For more information please contact admin@bushfire.org.au or phone 1800 BF VOLS (1800 23 8657).
Please note: this grant is only available to members located within Western Power’s service area.
