Sourcing Specialist - Permanent Full-Time/Perth CBD
We’re looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our Commercial team full-time, working across our Network, Construction & Maintenance portfolio. You’ll lead the charge on strategic sourcing – from developing smart strategies and running tenders to assessing opportunities and negotiating high-impact commercial agreements.
Your Role in Action
- Drive smart sourcing strategies and lead negotiations that deliver real value for Western Power.
- Play a key role in delivering a major cost-saving pipeline – targeting over $170M in opportunities.
- Use data, insights, and e-procurement tools to inform decisions and streamline sourcing activities.
- Identify new ways to reduce costs and unlock commercial improvements across the business.
- Be the commercial and governance lead for contract development and execution.
- Partner with Category Specialists to bring sourcing strategies to life through effective sourcing events.
- Collaborate with contract managers and operational teams to turn plans into action on the ground.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Proven ability to develop and deliver smart sourcing strategies that drive value and results.
- Deep understanding of procurement risk and compliance – you know how to navigate the fine print and the big picture.
- Confident communicator who can influence, collaborate, and always keeps the outcome in focus.
- Solid grasp of Contract Law, Construction Law, and Australian Consumer Law.
- You thrive on building strong relationships and being part of a team that wins together.
- Qualifications in Procurement, Business, Law, or Finance are great – and if you know your way around AS 4000 contracts, even better!
