We are seeking a Senior Workforce Specialist at our Perth Office on a 12-month Maximum Term basis. This role will have a key focus on leading the development and implementation of proactive Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) programs, providing insight and raising awareness to topical risks in order to support the business in delivering exceptional quality and performance through effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Your role in action

 

  • Lead the delivery and implementation of SHE programs, ensuring they are proactive, comprehensive, and targeted.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote SHE programs, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and Function initiatives.
  • Be solutions focused and work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement that enhance workplace safety.
  • Provide SHE advice, guidance, and support to safety business partners and the business as a whole.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Conduct high level investigations while working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce robust and informed investigation findings and recommendations. Engage and support stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of recommendations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse workforce and network incident data and identify trends, leading to opportunities to improve workforce safety, occupational health issue, environmental performance, and public safety.

 

What makes you a great fit

 

  • Bachelor degree qualification in Engineering, Safety, Environment, Business Management or related SEQT discipline or Trade/technical qualifications in an electrical discipline of 5+ years or relevant (/related industry) work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience utilising the Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) of incident investigation.
  • Strong communication, analytical and demonstrated report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategy planning and operational SEQT strategy.
  • Demonstrated effective people management and leadership skills and experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance.
  • Some   On-call cover and occasional regional travel with overnight stays required
