Senior Asset Strategy Engineer – Permanent Full Time / Perth CBD Office

We’re looking for an innovative, outcomes-driven professional to join our high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you will set the strategic direction, drive innovation, and ensure our assets deliver maximum value well into the future.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Set the Standard: Define and document best practice asset management practices, leveraging your deep engineering and asset management expertise.
  • Assess Asset Performance: Monitor asset performance and analyse condition data to evaluate asset health, identify emerging issues, and guide maintenance and replacement strategies for optimal outcomes.
  • Shape Strategy: Develop and justify forward-thinking asset strategies that feed into long-term asset management plans, balancing cost and risk.
  • Mitigate Risk: Lead risk assessments and asset life cycle evaluations using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles.         Assess and manage asset risk, obligations and incentives within a regulatory framework.
  • Be the Expert: Act as the go-to asset custodian, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision making processes regarding problem solving and optimal technical solutions for business and asset management systems.
  • Champion Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and critical thinking within a collaborative, close-knit team.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • B.Eng Degree - essential
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIE Aust) with Engineers Australia
  • Eligible for Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM) with the Asset Management Council.
  • At least 10+ years extensive and broad engineering experience
  • Extensive specialist asset class knowledge
  • Advanced financial analysis skills
  • Able to work independently and results oriented
  • Change management and stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Constructive and supportive behaviour
