Network Investigation Technician – Permanent Full-time – Kewdale

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Network Investigation Technician at our Kewdale Depot

 

As a Network Investigation Technician, you will be responsible for conducting technical investigation of network faults, investigate, identify and resolve moderate to complex network issues associated with the LV and HV network, including power quality, electric shock investigations, Emergency Response Generator deployment and conducting network switching operations.

 

Your Role in Action

 

  • Installation, commissioning and operation of emergency response Generators.
  • Investigate electric shock incidents and power quality event’s on out network.
  • Perform commissioning, maintenance and fault repairs to distribution automation switchgear and alternative sources of supply.
  • During times of escalated fault activity, maintain the integrity of the network with minimal loss of supply. Ensure prompt attendance to faults, isolating the system and taking steps to restore supplies and manage public access as appropriate to the fault type.
  • Progress process improvement initiatives to achieve optimal service delivery and safety initiatives by identifying and evaluating opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned LV and HV network switching including emergency fault response activities.
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal and external crews and customers.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

  • “A” grade WA Electrical Workers License endorsed for Electrical Fitting / Mechanic – essential.
  • A minimum of 5 + years advanced technical experience within a particular discipline, preferably in the Networks business. Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 200.
  • Experience dealing with external customers.
  • Knowledge of field practices, procedures, engineering standards and regulations applicable to the Section and Stream.
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
