We're on the lookout for an Inventory Specialist for an exciting 12-month fixed term opportunity - someone ready to take charge of a dynamic materials portfolio, boost service performance, and cut costs by balancing demand, supply, and inventory with precision across our network.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Own inventory performance - strike the perfect balance between service levels and cost to support our business goals.
  • Optimise stock strategies - review and refine replenishment and safety stock models to keep us ahead of demand.
  • Be the go-to expert - lead customer communications during shortages, prioritise deliveries, and maintain trust.
  • Champion collaboration - work cross-functionally to ensure seamless fulfilment of customer demand.
  • Drive depot performance - fine-tune min/max settings and coordinate with logistics for the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.
  • Lead material transitions - partner with Suppliers and Engineering to deliver smooth changeovers with zero customer impact.
  • Maximise supplier performance –- manage vendors against strict KPIs and hold them accountable for results.
  • Shape the future - contribute to tender processes, tackle root causes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain roles.
  • Strong grasp of supply chain planning and execution.
  • Confident using ERP systems and working with inventory modelling and algorithms to drive smart decisions.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with both customers and suppliers.
  • Experience in supplier performance management,
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or equivalent.
