Inventory Analyst

 

We have an opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to join the Commercial team on a 12-month maximum term contract at our Jandakot Office.


You will be responsible for engaging with internal clients to collect business plan information and convert into forecasts for procurement of materials and services that help to ensure the right resources are made available at the best cost. These responsibilities include the investigation and validation of anomalies, confirmation of forecast deliverability and an acute understanding of work program priorities.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Developing Demand Plans that incorporate forecast requirements for materials and services.
  • Reviewing and making recommendations to forecasting methodologies and algorithms to reduce forecast error
  • Providing materials and services capacity constraints to upstream functions (Network Planning, Works Program Planning and Operational teams) as required
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of replenishment and other supply chain tools
  • Building reports that add value to the team and improve overall efficiency by understanding end user requirements.
  • Understanding contract management and material requirements to support the team in times of resource shortages.
  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers when required.
  • Contributing to and support the Safety, Health, Environmental and community programs
  • Influencing and educating internal stakeholders in Commercial principles, constraints and requirements to ensure ongoing improvements in forecast accuracy

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

 We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance or related discipline.
  • Substantial demand planning experience including system expertise required.
  • Experience in FMCG or production planning/materials supply planning industry.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft analytical applications (Excel, Access, SQL).
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Relevant Utility / industry experience, skills and knowledge would be desirable.
