As CFO, you will be the enterprise’s financial and commercial strategist — a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board.

 

You will steward Western Power’s financial, commercial and regulatory performance, ensuring long-term enterprise sustainability while positioning us to lead through the State’s energy transition. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to influence enterprise direction, shape financial strategy, and represent Western Power in high-stakes external forums with Government, regulators, and capital providers, during an exciting period of growth and delivery to meet the state’s clean energy/decarbonisation objectives. 

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Lead the Finance & Regulation business unit, guiding a multi-billion-dollar portfolio with a focus on long-term sustainability, capital efficiency and financial resilience.
  • Advise the CEO and Board on capital structure, investment priorities, financial risk and commercial positioning.
  • Influence regulatory frameworks and Access Arrangements, optimising outcomes for customers, Government and Western Power’s long-term sustainability.
  • Drive enterprise-wide commercial management, including investment evaluation, partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Embed robust governance, performance management and financial accountability across the business.
  • Build and empower a high-performing team with a strong culture of innovation, commercial acumen and accountability.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Proven experience leading a finance or regulatory division through significant growth, transformation and change
  • Deep expertise in corporate finance, strategy and regulatory frameworks.
  • A proven ability to operate at Executive and Board level, providing authoritative strategic insights and advice.
  • Strong stakeholder influence skills, to ensure credibility across Government, regulators and capital markets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex finance portfolios with commercial, regulatory and transformational dimensions.
  • A leadership style that champions integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
