Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources.

Power Training Services WA (PTS) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #5749) whose primary reason for operation is to ensure an ongoing supply of skilled workers for Western Power, trained to currently industry standards.

The Scope

Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced specialist training providers, to deliver training to the Western Power workforce on underpinning skills and knowledge related to High Risk licencing, equipment operation and maintenance, and operational safety and compliance, that support the training program delivered by PTS.

The training provider will be required to deliver selected courses that relate to any of the following:

Mandatory refresher training
Discretionary training
Ad hoc training
Training advisory services as required.

Services will relate to either one or multiple of the following training categories:

High risk licencing
Plant and equipment operation and maintenance
Driver training
First Aid
Traffic management
Fire safety

Registration Requirements

Suppliers are required to respond to the following for the ROI submission:

Summary of the training services you can provide related to the training categories listed above.
List of locations you can provide these training services eg. location of your training premises, delivery at specific metro/regional areas, ability to deliver at Western Power sites?
Demonstrate track record and capability in delivering training services in relation to the high-level Scope requirements stated above.
Reference from at least three customers who have been offered similar services.
Safety, Health & Environment information to be requested as part of this exercise.
