Supply and Delivery of Single-Phase Voltage Regulators

Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources.

Western Power operates Single-Phase Voltage Regulators for the 33kV/19.05kV, and 20kV/12.7kV, AC distribution systems throughout the Southwest Integrated Network (SWIN), in conditions where there is a wide range of solar radiation, pollution (salt bearing) and wind velocities. They are used on both the 33kV and 22kV networks to boost the voltage at strategic locations which counter the resistive voltage drop which occurs on long rural lines to ensure end users receive voltage at the correct prescribed level.

Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies capable of supplying and delivering:

  • Pole mounted and ground mounted (pad) applications
  • Pole mounted units are required rated at 50amp, and 100amp
  • Ground mounted units are required in the ratings of 150amp, 200amp, 250amp, and 300amp
  • Variation in the outgoing voltage is required to be +/- 10% in 0.625% increments

  1. Register your Interest by email entitled “Single Phase Voltage Regulators – Registration of Interest” to [email protected] with a return email address and contact telephone number.
  2. A Registration of Interest Questionnaire will be forwarded to you to complete and return to [email protected].
  3. To be considered for inclusion in a Request for Proposal, please register your interest and return the completed Registration of Interest Questionnaire by 5pm (AWST), Friday 28 January 2022.
