Meter installation and mains connection - standard supply

For Electrical Contractors requesting a temporary supply for construction in the Wooroloo bushfire area, please call 13 10 87.

Use this service request if you want to install one, or multiple, direct meters at a premise that has an existing standard electricity supply OR Install temporary supply in an area with existing underground power.

This form should not be used to request a meter exchange. An exchange can be arranged by contacting your retailer.

How much will it cost?

  • $455.00 for the install of 1 – 2 meters
  • If you need 3 or more meters installed, we will provide you with a quote

How long will it take?

  • Within 5-6 business days in the Perth metro and major regional towns
  • Within 10-11 business days in country and rural areas
  • 7 business days to provide you with a quote

What will I need to complete this application?

  • EnergySafety Notice of Completion number
  • Ensure the Notice of Completion is for a new installation
  • Retailer reference number for each new meter to be connected
  • A valid electrical contractor licence
  • A valid credit card to pay for the service (if applicable)

What more do I need to know?

New meters can only be collected and installed for new installations (not existing) by electrical contractors who have Service Apparatus Connection Scheme accreditation.

The submission of 1 request covers 1 appointment. Please ensure you are ready, and have completed your works before we attend site.
