We understand the fast-growing needs of our community. Which is why we’re harnessing the latest tech to find fresh, exciting ways to innovate our public infrastructure. One of these big changes is with our LEDs, an innovation we know will have a positive impact on everyone, from our communities and our local businesses, to the environment.
There are plenty of bright benefits:
Western Power is listening and investing in the future of its communities by researching smart enabled LED streetlight technology. This will allow self-reporting of smart enabled streetlighting advising streetlight faults and lux levels with much more.
Further to this we are also looking into IOT technology which will allow integration of sensors like weather monitoring, CCTV, traffic counting, car parking, bin levels and more.
Stay tuned for this exciting new time with Western Power.
Western Power also offers a host of decorative LED options to suite a range of lighting solutions.
RoadGrace LED luminaire are a hassle free energy efficiency solution, offering amazing flexibility with its range of optic options, optimized for multiple road and street applications, such as freeways, intersections and crosswalks. Now, it’s no longer just about functionality, as it is also about how road lighting can effortlessly complement new areas, and seamlessly retrofit into existing areas.

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are compound semi-conductor devices that produce visible light when an electrical current passes through them.
When compared to previous street lighting, LEDs may appear both brighter and whiter. This is largely due to the colour of the lights.
Fortunately, the direct light from LEDs will minimise glare which also reduces light into and onto properties in most situations.
The new LED lights will provide a more uniform illumination of the area and will be brighter compared to the old lights.
LED streetlights are more focussed ensuring more of the light shines onto the street and sidewalks with less light spill into adjacent areas.
