This is an exciting opportunity for three Technical Trainer’s on a 12-month maximum term basis at our Jandakot Training Facility, conveniently located next to the Roe Highway.

About this role


As the Technical Trainer, you will be required to facilitate ongoing skill maintenance and development to the Network ‘Total Workforce’ through the provision of training courses/programs and competency-based assessments to meet Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and the set competency standard.


You will also:

  • Deliver and record management of training as required to fulfil the training delivery program and schedule
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers, clients and key stakeholders whilst ensuring that key deliverables are met.
  • Complete and/or contribute towards completion of allotted work plans according to agreed times and deliverables.
  • Mentoring of trainee’s on-the-job training, workplace learning and experience through formal leaders.


About You


  • A 2006 or newer Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing and/or Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead and/or unrestricted WA electrical licence
  • Currently working in the Electricity Supply Industry with 7+ Relevant extensive industry experience in Power or related industry.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal that enable effective interaction between key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, plan and work to priorities to meet pre-determined deliverables and outcomes within established timelines.
  • Willingness to work and travel to other depot locations, as required
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ or the ability to transfer an equivalent interstate licence.
