We are looking for a talented Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent works, serving both internal and external customers.  The projects will focus on the conversion from overhead to underground power in selected areas. You will be responsible for ensuring each project is completed successfully, from initiation to final closure, following structured phases: Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Control, and Closing.

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Contributes to and reviews the project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, resourcing implications, funding limitations and operating procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Accurately identify stakeholders’ needs, respond with empathy and demonstrate the effective interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Administer and manage the budgeting, estimation, scoping and resourcing of projects through the approvals process.
  • Development of accurate and effective project programs.
  • Co-ordinate with and support the wider project team across diverse sections of the business to ensure successful completion of project requirements including analyse, strategically plan, implement and manage the contracts necessary for completion of the various project component works.
  • Provide interface and maintains relationships with other contributors to the project, which may include effective management of external funding agreements, setting project parameters, regular reporting and negotiating minor changes to project specifications/scope with the sponsor/client.
  • Determine, set, review and analyse project and works performance data to optimise performance and delivery of project outcomes.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Trade / Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management,
  • Industry accreditation in Project Management, either PMBOK®, Prince2™ or MSP™. Or relevant discipline
  • At least 10 + years significant project management experience including high value / highly complex projects
  • Demonstrated extensive and broad experience in project management, program planning, data management, integration and communication in relevant industries is essential.
  • Electrical engineering knowledge of HV/LV construction, maintenance and commissioning practices.
  • Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
  • Experience in project reporting with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel skills, strong data analysis skills and financial acumen including the ability to interpret financial data and reports. Utilise project knowledge to accurately budget and forecast expenditure and productivity.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
