We have opportunities for Lineworkers on a Permanent Full Time Basis at our Balcatta Depot.  

 

Balcatta is located a short 10 KM’s north of Perth in the City of Stirling. Only a 10 minute drive from the beautiful West Australian coast line, offering fishing, snorkelling, surfing and the many amenities of living in the city.

About this role

 

You will be required to construct and maintain in a team environment the transmission and/or distribution electricity network to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner to ensure an uninterrupted supply to customers and within all applicable guidelines and regulations.

 

  • Rectifying faults promptly and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact.
  • Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network.
  • Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards. Deal with day-to-day technical issues that can arise, on site, relating to design and construction issues


About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead – essential
  • A-Grade Electrical License (highly regarded – but not required)
  • Valid WA ‘HR’ Class Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network
  • HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential
  • Be able to participate in after hours On Call roster
