Fleet Solutions Manager - Perth
As our Fleet Solutions Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing the provision of Fleet Solutions to Western Power including managing internal customer relationships, strategic planning, execution, and optimisation of fleet activities for both heavy & light vehicles. You will work closely with Senior Leadership to align fleet management goals with broader organisational objectives, ensuring the seamless operation and sustainability of the fleet which enables the workforce to ensure our community has safe and reliable electricity supply.
Your Role in Action
- Develop and execute fleet strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the program of fleet modernisation and the integration of new technologies.
- Drive adherence to safety, health and environment standards and transport regulations.
- Implement sustainable fleet practices, exploring innovative solutions and eco-friendly technologies.
- Lead a team of 24 fleet professionals.
- Management of the internal customer relationships, planning, design, acquisition, delivery, and commissioning of fleet.
- Accountable for business plans, including proposed activities, associated budgets, and proposed delivery plans.
- Preparation of Business Cases to secure funding for acquisition of fleet assets and fleet related activities.
- Identify and negotiate acquisition of new fleet assets (including leased fleet).
- Budget management and reporting on fleet acquisitions, disposals and activities associated with the provision of fleet assets and services.
This is a new role to Western Powers Property & Fleet team, requiring a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Previous design and implementation of fleet strategies, innovative technologies, and modernisation of fleet.
- Previous experience leading large teams delivering fleet solutions, managing multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of regulations, compliance requirements and safety standards.
- Previous experience dealing with external suppliers and consultants.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in managing a large financial budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics, desired.
