Estimator

 

Looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking an Estimator on a 12-Month fixed term basis; you'll support and shape project investments by delivering accurate scoping and cost estimates. You'll also provide valuable technical input during the planning phase, ensuring their success from the ground up. Join us to play a pivotal role in shaping projects that matter!

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Support scoping of program, project investments and customer funded work to reflect accurate estimates of scope and cost.
  • Provide value adding technical input to Planning Phase Estimation of projects.
  • Ownership of quality output and development of improvements
  • Technical input to the Estimation of volumetric programs and development and maintenance of unit rates
  • Update and publish estimating rates catalogue and communicate changes.
  • Support maintenance of compatible units, standard jobs, assemblies and Unit Rates used for estimating.
  • Utilise current labour and fleet rates including contractor and vendor rates.
  • Provide advice on design, construction and commissioning issues to assist others in the development of project scope definitions.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with technical drawings is essential.
  • Strong Computer Literacy & confident use of software and tools to support your role effectively.
  • Collaborative Team Player and excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exposure to risk assessment processes is desirable, with a willingness to learn and mentor others in this area.
  • Exposure to Project and/or Contract Management.
  • Relevant Trade or Technical Qualification coupled with practical experience in estimation, is highly valued.
