Western Power has sponsored netball programs throughout the state to help identify WA’s future netball champions since 1997. To date, seven athletes who have taken part in the clinics have represented Western Australia and a number of participants including Mt Barker’s Kirby Bentley have also been accepted into the Western Australian Institute of Sport’s Power Program.
The Western Power netball program gives kids the opportunity to get involved in the game, improve their basic skills and experience the fun of playing. The program has also enabled WA Netball to monitor the development of netball in Western Australia and foster the development of future champions.
