Search tips
Use the 'Find a contractor search functionality' to find an accredited electrical contractor authorised to make connections to the consumer mains.
Search for contractors by:
- Trading Name - find a contractor by typing in the name of the business you wish to locate
- Suburb - find a contractor located in your area by typing in the name of the relevant suburb
- Postcode - find a contractor located in your area by typing in the number of the relevant postcode.
Search tips:
- Sorting your results: you can sort your search results by clicking on the title of each column heading. The first click sorts the results in ascending order (eg. A-Z) and a second click will sort the results in descending order (eg. Z-A). For example, if you wish to sort your search results by 'Trading Name' from A-Z, click once on the Trading Name column heading.
- Wildcards: you can undertake a wide search for contractors using "wildcard" characters in the search function. A wildcard is a character that may be used in a search term to represent one or more other characters. An asterisk ("*") can be used to specify zero or more characters. For example, if you wish to search for all contractors with a trading name starting with "B", type "B*" in the Trading Name search box. It is usually best to avoid using the asterisk as the first character in a search string. A search term consisting of a lone asterisk and no other alphanumeric characters will retrieve every record from the database.
