Balcatta substation
We are developing a new substation in Balcatta to meet the need for additional electricity supplies in the area.
Baldivis substation
Western Power proposes to build a new zone substation in Baldivis to provide additional electricity to the area following the rapid growth in Perth's southern suburbs.
Bayswater substation
Western Power needs the communities help in finding a solution to manage the increasing energy demand in Bayswater.
Cottesloe substation upgrade
The project has now reached practical completion, with the final landscaping works being completed in August 2011.
Forrestdale zone substation site
Western Power has purchased land at 440 Nicholson Road in Forrestdale to establish a new zone substation to service Forrestdale and the surrounding area.
Furnissdale substation land acquisition
The surrounding suburbs in the Shire of Murray require reinforcement of the electricity network to allow for increased energy demand, resulting from population and development growth in the area.
Geraldton Port and CBD Power Requirements Project
Western Power is developing a future Geraldton supply strategy to map out the future needs of the central Geraldton area, and to meet the future requirements of Geraldton Port.
Hocking substation land acquisition
Western Power has purchased land for the proposed development of a new zone substation in Hocking.
Joondanna zone substation
In response to rapid redevelopment of the Osborne Park industrial area, Western Power is currently planning the construction of a new 132 kV zone substation on the corner of Albert Street and Roberts Road in Osborne Park.
Maddington substation
Western Power is pleased to announce that the Maddington Substation was commissioned in June, and that landscaping was completed in August.
Manning Street substation upgrade
Western Power intends to upgrade the existing 132, 000 volt (132kV) Manning Street substation in Scarborough.
Melville and Fremantle power options

Sawyers Valley substation upgrade
An upgrade of the existing 66,000 volt (66 kV) Sawyers Valley substation is proposed to convert it from a 66/22 kV substation to a 132/22 kV substation.
South East Terminal substation
With the planned connection of new generation to the State's 330,000 volt (330 kV) network it is essential that the electricity system be reinforced so that Western Power can maintain a secure and reliable power system.
Western Terminal Reinforcement Project
The existing 66 kV network through the Western Terminal is aged and operating close to full capacity.
