Line route selection
Western Power will now work closely with landowners in the preferred corridor to determine the most suitable line route within the corridor.
The width of the preferred corridor is approximately 2km. Once the final line route has been determined, the width of the easement, or 'safety zone' will be advised. This is typically 20-60 metres wide.
This process has been useful in the past to reduce the impact of our infrastructure. We are committed to ensuring that the impact of our infrastructure on landowners is minimised.
