Project update November 2011

Western Power commenced the upgrade of the existing 66,000 volt (66 kV) Cottesloe zone substation, located on Curtin Avenue, to 132,000 volts (132 kV) in 2006. We would like to thank you for your involvement, input and patience regarding the Cottesloe Substation upgrade project over the past five years. The project has now reached practical completion, with the final landscaping works being completed in August this year. The Cottesloe substation will serve to provide a secure and reliable supply of power to Cottesloe and its surrounding suburbs well into the future, as well as providing additional capacity to cater for future growth.
