Claremont underground power installation
About the project
Western Power was engaged by the Claremont Joint Venture and the Town of Claremont to underground the power line along Gugeri Street, between Leura Avenue and Stirling Road as detailed in figure 1 below.
Agents of the community
Western Power avoided major work during the Royal Show and the Christmas period to limit disruptions caused by the underground cabling project. The schedule of work was created in consultation with the Claremont Joint Venture, the Town of Claremont and the Public Transport Authority.
Western Power worked closely with the project sponsors to create the best outcome for the community throughout the construction phase of the project.
Western Power and was pleased with the results of this special program which improves the visual appearance of the Claremont shopping precinct.
