About electricity

Electricity is a form of energy produced by the flow of electrons along a conductor. The best conductors are metals such as copper and aluminium.

Electricity is a secondary energy source in that it is converted from other energy sources like coal, natural gas and oil, and
increasingly other sources such as the sun and wind.

It is a convenient and manageable form of energy that can be converted readily to heat and light, used to power machines, and transported with relative ease.
