New RIC Vicinity Authorities
New people applying for Network Access Authorisation RIC for Vicinity Authorities (NA3V) must attend the training course PTS 077V - RIC for Vicinity Authorities.
Prerequisites
People applying for NA3V Network Access Authorisation do not require electrical training or qualification.
To attend the training course a person must be nominated by their supervisor and must have:
- their supervisor declare on the course nomination form that the candidate has been a RIC on a minimum of 10 VAs and is suitable for role as an RIC for VAs only
- a positive attitude to safety and responsibility
How to obtain authorisation
- Complete an application to attend PTS 077V - RIC for Vicinity Authorities

- Attend course PTS 077V (this course is under development and will be available at the end of September 08)
- Complete course theory assessment
- RIC candidate successfully completes on-the-job activities
- Supervisor signs off on-the-job activities
- Supervisor completes RIC authorisation application and sends application and on-the-job activities to PTS
- Authorisation card issued by System Management
