Course candidates who have previously completed applicable training courses, on-the-job training or have relevant work or life experience may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Successful RPL applicants will receive exemptions against their chosen course or module.
RPL can be granted against a complete training course or whole modules within a training program, but not against part of a training course or module.
The applicant needs to provide evidence or demonstrate through assessment that they have the identical or equivalent knowledge and skills in relation to the training course or modules against which they are applying for RPL.
Where the candidate cannot provide evidence or demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills they will be advised of the learning gaps and development opportunities.
