Access arrangement

Western Power’s Access Arrangement describes the terms and conditions for obtaining ‘access’ to our network the South West Interconnected System. Generally, it is electricity retailers and generators who apply to gain access to the network so that they can transport electricity to customers.

The Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) approved Western Power’s access arrangement revisions for the second access arrangement period on 19 January 2010, to become effective from 1 March 2010.

The ERA is responsible for ensuring that the access arrangement complies with the Electricity Networks Access Code 2004.
