The WA Electricity Market has been granted a license from NEMMCO to use a variant of the National Electricity Market aseXML standard (see NEMMCO aseXML Schemas - Link to http://www.nemmco.com.au/asexml/). The WA version of the aseXML was developed using NEMMCO release r17 as a starting point, but was adjusted to meet the requirements of the WA Market.
A number of the WA changes were adopted by the ASWG (aseXML Standards Working Group) in r19. WA Change Request CR5 proposes the steps required to align with the NEM, although this change request has now been deferred.
