Belmont Kewdale Welshpool transmission line

To help keep up with growth in the areas of Belmont, Kewdale, Welshpool, Riverdale and the Perth CBD, Western Power has built a new 132 kV transmission line in the suburbs of Welshpool and Kewdale.

Chapman to Northampton transmission line

Western Power is proposing to construct a 132, 000 volt (132kV) transmission line between Chapman substation and a proposed substation in Northampton.

Eneabba to Geraldton transmission line

Western Power is proposing to construct a new 330,000 volt (330 kV) transmission line between the existing Eneabba substation and a new substation to be sited at Moonyoonooka (approximately 15km east of Geraldton).

Eneabba to Koolanooka transmission line

Western Power and Karara Mining Limited (KML), a joint venture company established by Gindalbie Metals Limited and steel producer Anshan Iron and Steel, are investigating options to upgrade the existing transmission line which runs from Eneabba to Koolanooka (via Three Springs), and extending to the Karara mine site.

Guildford to Southern terminal transmission line

In order to provide additional security to the Western Power transmission network, it has been identified that reinforcement works are required between Guildford Terminal and Southern Terminal.

Kemerton to Binningup transmission line

Western Power has a proposed final line route to provide electricity for Water Corporation's proposed desalination plant in Binningup.

Kojonup to Albany transmission line

Due to an expected increase in electricity use, the Albany region will need to reinforce transmission systems into Albany.

Kwinana to South Fremantle

Western Power is in the process of upgrading the existing Kwinana to South Fremantle 132kV transmission line.

Landwehr to South East Terminal

Western Power is currently undertaking maintenance works on the decommissioned Cannington Terminal to Marriott Road 132 kV transmission line.

Muja to Wellstead transmission line

Western Power plans to construct a 300 km 220,000 Volt transmission line between Kojonup and a new magnetite mine at Wellstead, 90 km north east of Albany.

Northern Terminal to Hadfields transmission line

To allow for the increased energy demand in the Bassendean and Bayswater areas, Western Power is planning to reinforce the electricity network.

Perth CBD distribution project

To meet the rapidly growing demand for power in East Perth and Perth CBD, Western Power will be installing 11 kV underground cables in the area.

Pinjar to Eneabba transmission line

A new 330 kV transmission line is proposed in order to meet the electricity demands of households, commerce and industry in the growing Mid West region.

Rivervale to Cannington transmission line

Western Power is currently finalising works to upgrade the 132,000 volt (132 kV) transmission line in Lathlain, Carlisle, Welshpool and Queens Park.

Southern River transmission line

A new transmission line that will cut in to the network at Skeet Road is being constructed in the Southern River area.

South-west 330kV network upgrade

Western Power is proposing to reconstruct the existing 132 kV transmission line between the Perth metropolitan area and Collie (via Boddington), to become a new 165 km, 330 kV transmission line from Collie to the Perth metro area.

West Kalgoorlie to Black Flag second transmission line

Western Power is proposing to construct a second 132 kV line between the West Kalgoorlie substation and the Black Flag substation to improve the security and reliability of power supplies in the area.
