The new 330 kV transmission line is essential to meet the electricity demands of households, commerce and industry in the growing Mid West region.

The Pinjar to Eneabba rebuild will see the existing wood pole line between Pinjar power station and Eneabba substation removed and replaced with a 330 kV transmission line. This is the second stage of the overall project, which includes the construction of a brand new 330 kV transmission line between Eneabba and Moonyoonooka, 15 km east of Geraldton.
Construction of the entire line between Pinjar and Moonyoonooka is scheduled for completion by the summer of 2010/11 to meet the forecast demand for electricity.
