Eneabba to Geraldton transmission line

Western Power is proposing to construct a new 330,000 volt (330 kV) transmission line between the existing Eneabba substation and a new substation to be sited at Moonyoonooka (approximately 15km east of Geraldton). More information

The May State Budget included funding to build a transmission line from Perth to Geraldton to meet the growing demand for power in the Mid-West and to provide a connection point for new generation, including wind farms and other renewable and established energy projects. More information

GPS report

Western Power has engaged consultants to identify any contemporary examples of differential global positioning system (DGPS) degradation or anomalies attributable to the presence of powerlines. Sustainability Assessment Peer Review

Preferred corridor announced

Following a thorough investigation and consultation  process, Western Power has identified a preferred 1km wide corridor for the proposed Eneabba to Moonyoonooka 330 kV transmission line project. More information

Late 2008 - early 2009 Structure location pegging, access vegetation clearing, access gate installation
Early 2009 Preliminary works commence
