Cottesloe substation upgrade

Western Power is currently upgrading the capacity of its zone substation on Curtin Avenue Cottesloe, from 66,000 volts (66kV) to 132, 000 volts (132kV).

Construction update

The construction of the new masonry wall around the perimeter of the substation and the application of the anti-graffiti coating was completed in January 2008. Preparation for stage one of the transmission line works has begun with foundations for the steel poles along Curtin Avenue laid in April.
