Temporary supplies

Temporary supplies allow builders and other tradespeople to work with power when there is no permanent connection to the site.

Generally your builder or electrical contractor will apply for a temporary supply for you.  Please give as much notice as possible, so the supply is ready for your scheduled start date.

  • An overhead single-phase temporary supply costs $300 (inc GST)
  • A three-phase temporary supply costs $600 (inc GST)

Note: It is usually more cost effective to install a permanent supply (pillar) straight away.  Ask your electrician for details or ring 13 10 87.

To apply, please fill out the Temporary Supply Application (PDF 118kb) form.
