Western Power is proud to be a founding sponsor of Scitech and was recently acknowledged by the museum at an event to honour their long term sponsors.
Doug Aberle accepted an award from Dr Erica Smyth, Chair of the Scitech board at a reception that took place at their City West venue.
Recently, Western Power has been working with Scitech to create a new Energy Gallery that will help educate museum visitors about energy efficiency and renewable energy. The new Energy Gallery will become the key interactive site for visitors to learn in a fun and engaging way.
The new Energy Gallery has plenty of opportunities for teachers and students to explore the Energy and Change strand of the WA Curriculum Framework.
Tracey King, Marketing Manager at Western Power, emphasises the importance of this sponsorship, "We have been working with Scitech for more than 20 years to make science and energy an interesting learning experience. The museum attracts more than 245,000 visitors each year, giving us the opportunity to educate West Australians from all over the state to become energy wise ambassadors."
Western Power has been a major sponsor at Scitech since their doors opened in 1988.
