Training
Power Training Services WA (PTS) is one of Australia's leading providers of power related training and consultancy services. We provide a range of quality structured technical training courses and programs to our key stakeholders in distribution and transmission. Training is provided to ensure that all Western Power employees, alliance partners, contractors and sub-contractors (network 'total workforce') accessing the network have the required competencies, qualifications, skills and safety awareness to undertake the work.
As a Registered Training Organisation, PTS offers a wide range of nationally recognised, competency-based training programs and courses whilst utilising the latest technology and work practices.
PTS trainers conduct both local and remote training courses and competency-based assessments based on changing legislative, organisational and industry requirements. Most training courses can be customised and delivered on-site, or at our training facility in Jandakot.
PTS work closely with the Western Power business in identifying prior learning and skills gap analysis to up-skill the workforce, including overseas recruits, by providing them with training programs to assist them in gaining their equivalent Australian qualification. This will allow them to start work on the Western Power network.
