Meter distribution
Existing meters can only be changed by electrical contractors with contractor connect changeover accreditation.
New meters can only be installed by electrical contractors who have service connect accreditation.
How to apply
To apply for a new meter installation:
- in metropolitan areas, complete the meter request notice - metropolitan (PDF 47kb) and present to your local distribution outlet
- in country areas with no distribution outlet, fax the meter request notice - non metropolitan (PDF 46kb) to Western Power meter services on (08) 9225 2654
- distribution outlets should use the meter order form (PDF 43kb) to place orders
