Western Australian distribution connections manual
The Western Australian distribution connections manual (PDF 6.4mb) is a comprehensive single reference point for establishing a residential and commercial electrical connection of an customers installation to either a Horizon Power or Western Power distribution network.
Contractor connections
The Contractor connect scheme (PDF 231kb) is an extension of the Service connect scheme. This guide provides information on the network connection and energisation processes for direct connected equipment up to 100 amps, which must be read in conjunction with the sample management plan (PDF 220kb).
Changeover scheme
Contractor authorised changeover scheme (PDF 207kb) outlines the requirements under which an accredited electrical contractor may perform changeovers.
Temporary power

The scheme enables authorised electrical contractors to connect, energise, disconnect and rotate builders supply poles between building sites supplied via an underground service.
Testing
All electrical installation work including minor and maintenance work must be checked and tested by the installing electrical contractor or worker prior to it being connected to the network or where permitted energised.
